I know, Neglectful...

I really did not think I would be busier in the summer than during the rest of the "regular" year, but I did take a one month class in dosage calculations. One month compared to the usual 18 weeks of regular classes makes for a dizzying and very busy situation, especially when working full time.

Anyway, I have not been doing too much of anything. But I was able to finish reading a novel and almost finish a second novel within a month's time. I also made myself an Infinity dress. I was inspired by Script & Serif.

I used a pretty knit polyester spandex from the local JoAnn's. My mom saw the fabric and looked at me funny because of the color, but I think it goes quite well with my skin; especially since I do have a slight bit of color from swimming.

I also sewed a curtain for my honey's house. He needed it to block the sun from coming in and beating down on his salt water fish tank everyday.

I found a great website for making curtains. I needed it because it has been about 10 years since I last made curtains. And as you may be able to see, I made them a teensy bit too short, but I can console myself with the fact that Honey did not have the curtain rod up yet. Ah well!

I also made vanilla bean ice cream for my dad last month. It came out well and I cannot stop gushing about my KitchenAid stand mixer! It is such a dream!

Hopefully I will have a little more time to work on my hobbies/crafts now that school is not occupying my time.
